Now getting worry you don't have to about lost while driving in an unknown city. An incar navigation device based on the global positioning system has been launched in the country by MapmyIndia, a company promoted by CE Info Systems.It is shaped like a fat mobile phone and is priced at Rs 22,000. Drivers can use its touch screen to guide themselves to their destination.
The device would cover streets in 18 major cities of India, including Mumbai, Hyderabad, Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, Pune and Bangalore.
The service will soon be extended to other cities and towns too.
However, certain sensitive spots in the country including high security institutions would not come within its ambit
