MySpace is time waster

More companies are restricting employee access to social networking site MySpace, which is being termed ‘time waster number one' during office hours.

According to a survey by Web security firm Barracuda Networks, about 44 per cent of companies were restricting access to MySpace while only 26 per cent were doing this to rival site Facebook.

This is a kind of inverted compliment to MySpace.

Another survey by Barracuda also revealed that 65 per cent of IT companies were in the process of enforcing restrictions on surfing during office hours. The survey also revealed that 21 per cent of IT companies were actively monitoring Internet activity of employees.
